Do I need a medical referral to schedule an appointment with a cardiologist?
This generally depends on your insurance plan. Typically, HMO plans require a referral from your primary care physician (PCP), while PPO plans usually do not require a prior referral.

Appointments can be requested in several ways: by phone at (281) 694-7811, through our website cardiohouston.health
or by email at appointments@cardiohouston.org
.
Do you offer same-day or urgent appointments?
Appointments are generally scheduled in advance by our team. However, if a patient requires an urgent evaluation, the patient should contact the doctor directly in advance so the urgent visit can be coordinated.
How long does a cardiology consultation usually last?
The duration depends on the complexity of each case, but from check-in to being seen by the doctor, the visit generally lasts approximately 60 minutes.
